At the center of this program is a new work commissioned from Academy, Grammy, and Golden Globe winning composer Howard Shore. Perhaps most well known for his gargantuan scores for Peter Jackson’s The Lord of the Rings, Shore turns to a more intimate combination of instruments for a new work for mezzo, flute, cello, piano, harp, and percussion.
